Less energy in the oven

GEOMET® 730 EV is cured at low temperature. Lower oven temperature means less energy per part and lower CO₂ emissions from every coating line that runs it. It also makes the coating easier to combine with heat-sensitive components.

A simpler coating stack

A conventional battery case is electro-coated and then covered with a mica sheet for heat protection. GEOMET® 730 EV provides fire protection in the coating itself, so the mica sheet can be removed or reduced. No separate conversion coating, such as phosphating, is needed before application, because the zinc–aluminum flakes form their own inorganic barrier.
